The Family Birthplace is a flexible and family-centered environment and team is committed to providing families with competent, skillful and safe care.

We encourage families to actively participate in their baby's care and we provide a "rooming in" experience prior to discharge.

Please discuss your birthing plans with your physician or midwife and share it with us at least four weeks before your baby is due.

We have state-of-the-art equipment and maintain the highest standard of skills and expertise in perinatal services.

Valley View's Family Birthplace includes a Level II Newborn Intensive Care Nursery and is equipped to take care of babies born as early as 6 weeks before their due date and infants with special needs.

Our nursery is staffed by Registered Nurses with additional specialized training, along with three pediatricians and a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
