The Calaway • Young Cancer Center

The Calaway • Young Cancer Center at Valley View provides a personalized and comprehensive approach to your cancer care. Our providers, Armando Armas, MD, Douglas Rovira, MD, David E. Marcus, MD and Bruce Greene, MD, ensure that every patient receives high-quality care bringing together the latest treatments and technologies. As the Roaring Fork Valley’s only comprehensive cancer center offering medical oncology and chemotherapy, advanced radiation therapy, clinical trials, integrated therapies, patient navigation and survivorship programs, we are ready to be your partner in your cancer journey.

A diagnosis of cancer can be a stressful and often overwhelming experience. Our team of physicians and caregivers work to humanize the treatment, personalize the care and demystify the journey that is cancer. We are committed to listening to your concerns, answering your questions and supporting you and your loved ones through every step of your cancer treatment.

"During radiation and chemotherapy, I was amazed I could have all my treatments done right here. I was equally amazed by the love and support from the wonderful people in this town and at Valley View Hospital," said Myka Yellico, a 39-year-old Glenwood Springs mother of four, diagnosed with brain cancer. "It is hard to describe what it is like going through the emotional ups and downs of cancer, but it would be impossible to do it alone."

The Family Rooms - Giving families the room to make the most important decisions in life
New for 2008, the Valley View Hospital Foundation will raise money to help fund the family rooms in the new patient care area. In addition to the two family rooms are a dining room with a kitchen.

The Planetree philosophy at V.V.H. recognizes that caring for the families helps everyone care more for the patients.
