Valley View Hospital was originally built in 1955 through a federal post-war program to bring medical services to rural community. The townspeople organized a campaign to raise $340,000 that was matched by the federal government. In this way, the community worked together to provide residents with a nonprofit community hospital. Today, philanthropy continues to play an important role at Valley View. Contributions, both large and small,
- Bring new technology to Valley View, thereby enabling patients to receive important services and treatments locally
- Enhance patient and family rooms to support a healing environment
- Help caregivers receive additional training and mentorship.
As a nonprofit, community-based organization, Valley View Hospital does not receive tax revenues. Charitable contributions therefore play an important role in project funding and create significant savings in long-term financing.
When you give to the Valley View Hospital Foundation, you are supporting strong, local healthcare – both today and in the future.
