Why Give

Valley View Hospital was originally built in 1955 through a federal post-war program to bring medical services to rural community. The townspeople organized a campaign to raise $340,000 that was matched by the federal government. In this way, the community worked together to provide residents with a nonprofit community hospital. Today, philanthropy continues to play an important role at Valley View. Contributions, both large and small,

  • Bring new technology to Valley View, thereby enabling patients to receive important services and treatments locally
  • Enhance patient and family rooms to support a healing environment
  • Help caregivers receive additional training and mentorship.

As a nonprofit, community-based organization, Valley View Hospital does not receive tax revenues. Charitable contributions therefore play an important role in project funding and create significant savings in long-term financing.

When you give to the Valley View Hospital Foundation, you are supporting strong, local healthcare – both today and in the future.

Why I Give......

"We spent a summer with a child in a hospital in Denver, so we know what it is like to find a place to stay the night and try to figure out how to keep family members happy at home while you're away. It is so wonderful to have a great hospital like Valley View in our own community.."
