Music For Stress Management
Listening to music can be relaxing. What may come as a surprise: "Not all music does the trick," writes Allen Elkin, PhD, in Stress Management for Dummies. The music needs to have a particular beat to induce a physical state whereby your breathing and heart rate slow down and your blood pressure lowers.
