We are a 100% volunteer organization. We maintain a not-for-profit, tax exempt status through our affiliation with the hospital's Auxiliary.

Our main goal is to provide a healing moment to hospitalized patients and a sense of increased well being to all we visit.

We are part of the Valley View Hospital's Planetree initiative and as such, support its mission statement. We make visits to the acute care department.

A team consists of the registered handler and animal. At present we are not using animals other than dogs. Handlers are usually, but not necessarily, its owner.

Approved written procedures and guidelines are provided as the framework for a visit.
