Preventing Infection

Hand washing is the best way to prevent the spread of infection.

Parents and visitors should wash their hands with soap and water before entering and leaving the room and before handling food.

If you child is a patient in an isolation room, we ask that you do not take him/her out of the room and please limit visitors.

Parents and families of patients with contagious conditions may be asked to wear gowns, gloves and masks while visiting

The Family Rooms - Giving families the room to make the most important decisions in life
New for 2008, the Valley View Hospital Foundation will raise money to help fund the family rooms in the new patient care area. In addition to the two family rooms are a dining room with a kitchen.

The Planetree philosophy at V.V.H. recognizes that caring for the families helps everyone care more for the patients.
