What is a PT?

Pediatric Physical Therapists are trained to improve functional movement with emphasis on positioning, transfer training and use of adaptive equipment.

What is an OT?

Pediatric Occupational Therapists focus on improving independence with every day activities such as feeding, dressing and bathing.

In the young child emphasis is placed on reaching developmental milestones through therapeutic activities.

What is an SLP?
A Speech Language Pathologist is trained in identifying and treating communication and swallowing disorders.

The Family Rooms - Giving families the room to make the most important decisions in life
New for 2008, the Valley View Hospital Foundation will raise money to help fund the family rooms in the new patient care area. In addition to the two family rooms are a dining room with a kitchen.

The Planetree philosophy at V.V.H. recognizes that caring for the families helps everyone care more for the patients.
