Surgery

  1. Please bring an ID and your insurance/Medicare card with you on the day of your surgery.

  2. Wear glasses instead of contact lenses, if possible. Do not bring jewelry, large sums of money or other valuables with you to the hospital. Please remove all nail polish.

  3. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. If you are a "Morning Surgical Admission", bring your robe, slippers and toiletries.

  4. Upon arrival at Valley View Hospital, check in at the Registration desk. You will then be escorted to the Day Surgery Unit where you will be prepared for surgery.

  5. Family members and visitors are welcome. If a child is present as a visitor, there must be a responsible adult to care for him/her.

The Family Rooms - Giving families the room to make the most important decisions in life
New for 2008, the Valley View Hospital Foundation will raise money to help fund the family rooms in the new patient care area. In addition to the two family rooms are a dining room with a kitchen.

The Planetree philosophy at V.V.H. recognizes that caring for the families helps everyone care more for the patients.
