Accreditation:
Our center is equipped
with a dedicated Mammography unit, which is accredited by the American College
of Radiology. In addition to the ACR accreditation, the unit is inspected annually
and certified by the State of Colorado for the FDA and is in compliance with
the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992.
Technologists:
The Radiology Department is staffed by five technologists who are
all registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
and three registered diagnostic medical sonographers. All of the technologists
performing mammography have received special training and continuing
education in the field of Mammography and have passed the Mammography
Certification exam administered by the A.R.R.T.
Radiologists:
Mountain Radiology provides radiologist staffing for Valley View
Hospital . Five board certified radiologists are available for
interpretation of Mammograms, breast ultrasound and needle placement
prior to biopsy. All radiologists participate in continuing education
seminars for Mammography.
