Women's Imaging

Women don't like to think about breast cancer, particularly when they're feeling healthy.

But one of every eight women will get breast cancer in her lifetime.

You can improve your odds greatly by working with your doctor to protect yourself and by scheduling regular mammograms.

A mammogram is a low-radiation, extremely safe x-ray that can reveal a small breast cancer up to two years before it can be felt.

For women with no symptoms, medical organizations recommend an initial screening mammogram by age 40 and another once a year for all women aged 40 and over.

The Family Rooms - Giving families the room to make the most important decisions in life
New for 2008, the Valley View Hospital Foundation will raise money to help fund the family rooms in the new patient care area. In addition to the two family rooms are a dining room with a kitchen.

The Planetree philosophy at V.V.H. recognizes that caring for the families helps everyone care more for the patients.
