Accreditation:
Our center is equipped with two GE Full-Field Digital Mammography Units
which are accredited by the American College of Radiology. In addition
to the ACR accreditation, each unit is inspected annually and certified
by the State of Colorado for the FDA and are in compliance with the Mammography
Quality Standards Act of 1992.
Technologists:
We are staffed by five technologists
who are all registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
and four registered diagnostic medical sonographers. All of the technologists
performing mammography have received special training and continuing
education in the field of Mammography and have passed the Mammography
Certification exam administered by the A.R.R.T.
Radiologists:
Mountain Radiology provides radiologist staffing for Valley View
Hospital . Five board certified radiologists are available for
interpretation of Mammograms, breast ultrasound and needle placement
prior to biopsy. All radiologists participate in continuing education
seminars for Mammography.
