Be sure to send your child's lunch in an insulated container to keep perishable items refrigerated. Pack a thermos for hot foods. Check on the availability of a microwave at school for heating lunches.

  • Cheese cubes or sticks
  • Ramen noodle cups
  • Soup
  • Sandwiches
  • Fruit such as grapes or kiwi
  • Yogurt with grapenut sprinkles
  • Pretzels
  • Bagels
  • Crackers with cream cheese
  • Celery with peanut butter
  • Banana with yogurt "dip
  • Carrot sticks, cucumber slices or apple wedges
  • Lunch meat & cheese rolled round a dill pickle spear
  • Leftovers (like: spaghetti or macaroni & cheese)
  • Tortilla rolls (spread with cream cheese, roll, cut into "coins")
