Youth Recovery Center

Addiction isn't something that only happens to adults

This is a chronic and progressive disease that also affects young people, who often struggle in their relationships with family, school and community.

The Youth Recovery Center at Valley View Hospital is an inpatient, adolescent, chemical dependency program serving teenagers from the State of Colorado. The YRC has provided inpatient treatment for adolescents who are chemically dependent since 1987. The program is highly structured and comprehensive, focused on building an alternative lifestyle to substance use through acquisition of psychological and social coping skills.

The Youth Recovery Center is small (10 beds), offering an intimate and individualized experience. Professionals and paraprofessionals provide comprehensive treatments and education, addressing biopsychosocial needs in order to promote a healthy, drug free lifestyle.

Teens are treated with care and respect in working through emotional distress and personal evaluation of behavior and value systems.

The Youth Recovery Center is located at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, 155 miles west of Denver and 90 miles east of Grand Junction on Interstate 70.
