Presented by Pelvic Floor Physical Therapists at Valley View
Tuesday, October 19
4 – 5 p.m.
Family Birthplace Classroom (located next to the Family Birthplace at Valley View)
Prepare your pelvic floor for labor, delivery and post-partum at this one-hour, express class. You will learn about the anatomy of the abdominal and pelvic floor musculature, as well as the importance of training these muscles to improve your physical and mental health during and after pregnancy. - Breathing and pushing techniques
- Using a TENS unit during labor and other labor comfort techniques
- Labor and delivery positioning to help ease labor and prevent post-delivery complications
- Body mechanics to protect your pelvic floor during and after pregnancy (such as how to carry a car seat, how to carry baby, sleeping positions for optimal comfort, etc).
Classes are capped at 10 attendees due to safety precautions around COVID-19.
This is for expecting moms and up to one partner
You are required to wear a mask your entire duration at Valley View.
