Tai Chi/Qigong for Balance and Fall Prevention
Event Navigation
Tai Chi is an ancient system of gentle flowing movements that emphasizes softness, relaxation, meditation and integration of mind and body.
Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system integrating physical postures (moving or stationary), breathing techniques, and focused intentions. The practice increases Qi energy to cleanse and heal the body.
Regular practice allows patients to move through stages of cancer by activating healing mechanisms, improving immune systems, reducing stress and helping to create a positive feeling. Tai Chi reduces falls, pain and increases mobility, flexibility, strength and balance.
Proven benefits in landmark studies by Harvard Medical, Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic and other major medical and health organizations.
Integrated Therapies offers this program to meet the needs of current patients, survivors and primary care takers.
The form can be tailored to an individual’s physical limitations. Wear comfortable clothing.
