For all that we know about the human body, sometimes we need to get inside and have a look around. Endoscopy lets us do that without major surgery.

An endoscope is a thin tube that can be placed into the body through an orifice or a small incision. One of our doctors — sometimes with the aid of a computer — guides one end of it to its destination within a body cavity, and then views the area of concern on a video screen. Often, the endoscope has a small surgical instrument attached to its end, and your physician may remove suspicious tissue for a biopsy, or completely cut away a damaged or diseased area.

Our Endoscopy Center is equipped with the most technologically advanced devices, and our physicians are experienced all types of endoscopic procedures, including more than 35 for the lungs and digestive tract.

We perform more than 35 types of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures for gastrointestinal and pulmonary disorders. Most patients receive moderate sedation for these procedures. The Endoscopy department features state-of-the-art equipment, two admissions rooms, four recovery beds, and two procedure rooms. A registered nurse and endoscopy technician staff each procedure room to ensure personal attention to each and every patient.

If you already have a procedure scheduled, please take advantage of our online pre-registration. This will save you time when you arrive for your appointment.
