Valley View Volunteers are a compassionate and dedicated group of individuals that contribute their time, talents and energy to the health and well-being of our community. Volunteers play a key role in the healing presence and culture of our hospital. The touch of a hand, a friendly smile, a listening ear, is all it takes to make a difference. The need for volunteers is great, and the rewards are even greater.

The Valley View Hospital Auxiliary has been in existence since the hospital opened in 1955. Since the beginning, they have filled two extremely important roles for the hospital: volunteer service, and fundraising for special projects and equipment. That tradition continues today, with a volunteer corps that exceeds 300 members, and fundraising efforts that raise more than $50,000 annually.

The mission of the auxiliary is to provide health education to the community, and dedicates all of its revenues to the Auxiliary Scholarship Program and the Connie Delaney Medical Library. The Heart to Heart Gift Shop at Valley View is staffed and managed by the auxiliary and volunteers, and 100 percent of the net proceeds from the shop are dedicated to the library and scholarship program.

If you are looking for a meaningful place to contribute some of your valuable time, we are looking for you! Please contact us for more information!

“I love the work as a volunteer with Valley View. It’s nice to have different roles in various areas of the hospital. Greeting our visitors and interacting with the wonderful staff is so rewarding. Valley View is a tremendous place.”
