Breastfeeding Basics:

Valley View Hospital is proud to offer a free prenatal breastfeeding class designed especially for expecting parents who want to start their feeding journey with confidence and support.

Held one Saturday each month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., this informative and welcoming class helps families prepare for successful breastfeeding before baby arrives. Led by experienced lactation professionals, the session covers:

• How breastfeeding works
• What to expect in the first hours and days after birth
• Positioning and latch techniques
• Understanding milk supply
• Partner and support person involvement
• Common challenges and how to overcome them

Whether this is your first baby or you’re looking for a refresher, the class provides practical guidance, evidence-based information, and time for questions in a supportive environment.

The class is offered at Valley View Hospital and is open to all expecting parents and their support partners.
