The Internal Medicine team at Valley View partnered with Terri Muldoon from The Glenwood Springs Center for The Arts to help raise money for patients with cancer. Their idea was simple: Provide a canvas for Rally the Valley participants to paint for a small donation.

When the canvas arrived at the event it was nothing more than roughly outlined portrayals of trees, but with the help of Rally the Valley participants, Girl Scout Troop #12143 and the Internal Medicine team, the canvas was transformed into a vibrant crowdsourced work of art.

The painting is on display in the Internal Medicine office. “It’s a big conversation piece for patients coming to the clinic for appointments,” said Maureen McGhee, medical assistant at Internal Medicine. “When we look at it we remember how we all came together as a group to make a difference in the fight against cancer.”

Special thanks to everyone who helped and contributed to making this beautiful piece of art
