Valley View Opens Willits Care Center

Valley View has recently opened the new and expanded Willits Care Center at 350 Market St. in Basalt.

Access to health care in rural areas can be challenging due to barriers such as shortages of health professionals, geographic isolation, and financial and technological constraints. Valley View is addressing these challenges by limiting barriers to access by providing a variety of care options and bringing the best minds in medicine to the places that need it most, according to a press release from Valley View.

Valley View’s network of care now includes physician practices (Women’s Health, Roaring Fork Family Practice and Pediatric Partners), hospital services (Imaging, Rehabilitation) and specialty care (Glenwood Orthopaedic Center, The Lung Center, Heart & Vascular Center, Sports Medicine & Shoulder Center, High Mountain Brain & Spinal Surgery Center, Foot & Ankle Center and Mount Sopris Plastic Surgery Center), providing health care closer to home, according to the press release.

“Our [Valley View’s] vision is to be the health care provider of choice; linking expertise, technology and services to provide care where you want it and how you need it,” said Stacey Gavrell, community relations executive director for Valley View. “We’ve been a healthcare partner in the Basalt community for well over a decade now, and we’re thrilled to have an opportunity to make sustainable improvements to quality of care and quality of life for our neighbors.”

There will be a grand opening celebration from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, with a tour, live music, giveaways and an opportunity to meet the physicians bringing wellness to Willits.
