Valley View receives ANCC Pathway To Excellence® Re-Designation

Valley View is honored to have achieved the prestigious Pathway to Excellence® re-designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

The Pathway to Excellence designation is a global credential that highlights Valley View’s commitment to creating a healthy work environment where nurses feel empowered and valued. Valley View’s nurses are an integral part of the health care team, with a voice in policy and practice. Pathway nurses are engaged, resulting in higher job satisfaction, reduced turnover, improved safety, and better patient outcomes.

As a Pathway organization, Valley View leads the effort to enhance quality of care, patient and nursing safety, and the future of healthcare delivery.

Valley View was officially granted the ANCC Pathway to Excellence designation, which is a four-year term, in 2019. It recently completed the re-designation process, which included the submission of evidence of interdisciplinary collaboration to provide exceptional patient care, leadership support, organizational efforts to continually enhance patient and staff safety and well-being, and the wide variety of opportunities for continuing education for both clinical and non-clinical staff. These elements of a healthy work environment were validated by Valley View’s nurses, who participated in a voluntary survey.

“We are honored to receive the ANCC Pathway to Excellence re-designation,” said Valley View Chief Nursing Officer Dawn Sculco, DNP, RN, CNS. “This re-designation is a testament to our incredible leaders at Valley View and our shared decision-making culture where all health care team members collaborate to provide exceptional care to our patients. Our nurses at Valley View recognize that this honor is a representation of our entire health care team.”
