In 2024, Matt brought his experience to the Valley View Lung Center, where he cared for patients with chronic lung conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and sleep apnea, as well as acute infections including COVID‑19 and pneumonia. He returned to the Calaway•Young Cancer Center in 2026, continuing to provide compassionate, personalized care for patients.

“I want my patients to be thinking about what it means to live their best life right now,” Matt says. “I provide them the room to consider that and help them achieve it.”

When he is not caring for patients, Matt is an avid woodworker who crafts guitars and furniture by hand in his home woodshop. He also is a musician and has been playing music in the Roaring Fork Valley for more than 20 years.
