About Taylor
Taylor Burgart, DNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner at Calaway-Young Cancer Center. She earned her nursing degree from Boston College, followed by her doctorate in nursing at University of Colorado.
Skilled in the management of solid tumors of all disease sites, hematologic malignancies and benign hematologic conditions, she has over six years of oncology specific experience. Before joining Valley View Taylor held positions in nursing and palliative care at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Advent Health Littleton (Colorado) and AHMG Hematology and Oncology.
When working with patients, Taylor emphasizes helping patients to feel their best throughout treatment, ensuring quality of life and care for the whole person. “I build off of therapeutic relationships and get to know my patients in order to take care of every part of them – mind, body, spirit,” she says. “My patients are not just their cancer diagnosis. To be with them throughout their cancer journey, there are some downs, but there’s a lot of happy, too.”
Originally from Western New York, Taylor moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2025. Outside of work, she says, “I’m your typical Colorado girl,” who enjoys both resort and backcountry skiing, mountain biking, knitting and any outdoor activity she can do with her two dogs.
