About Vanessa
Vanessa Han-Voth is an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP) at Valley View’s Wound Care Center. She earned her masters of science degree in nursing from the University of Colorado, her bachelor of science degree from Michigan State University, and has worked in the fields of primary care, oncology and the gerontology in long-term care facilities.
Vanessa moved to Colorado in 2011 and to the Western Slope in 2022. She joined Valley View in 2024. In her current role, Vanessa focuses on wound care for adolescents to adults, ages 13 and older. “I love learning about and staying up to date on the latest advancements in wound care” says Vanessa. “I also really enjoy taking time to educate patients on their wounds and the healing process and being hands-on with the treatments and procedures.”
Partnering with patients in their health care journeys is one of Vanessa’s favorite aspects of nursing. “I really listen to the patient and allow them to be heavily involved in their own care,” she says. “Every person requires an individualized approach and care, not just one treatment plan. I learn about that individual and what’s important to them, and go from there.”
In her free time, Vanessa enjoys being active, spending time outdoors with her husband Reilly and their two dogs (a poodle and mutt) and traveling. “I am very grateful to live where I live,” she says, “and I love working in the same health care system as my community.”
