The Breast Center at Valley View is made up of dedicated specialists in oncology, hematology and surgery, working together to provide comprehensive breast cancer care. Valley View is proud to spotlight these exceptional physicians who champion a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to treatment—ensuring every patient receives personalized, compassionate and cutting-edge care.
Dr. Brigid O'Holleran is a breast surgeon and medical director at the Breast Center at Valley View. In addition to her work as a surgeon, she offers consultations at the High Risk Breast Clinic for those with an elevated risk of breast cancer related to a genetic mutation or family history of breast cancer. “I want to be a resource for patients, so they have someone to talk with-about cancer prevention, risk reduction and early detection of breast cancer,” she says.
Dr. Alexandra Donovan is a board-certified medical oncologist, hematologist and internal medicine doctor, providing specialized care in both inpatient and outpatient programs at the Calaway-Young Cancer Center. “My goal is to help patients have a complete treatment experience,” she says. “Different things work for different people, and the best part of my job is developing a deep relationship with my patients and understanding how best to help them through this difficult process.”
Dr. Peter Rossi is a board-certified radiation oncologist and an expert in several approaches to cancer treatment, including brachytherapy, SRS and SBRT. Working with a multidisciplinary team at Valley View, his compassionate approach focuses on each individual patient. A key thought leader in his field, Dr. Rossi speaks regularly at national and international oncology conferences, and he has held leadership positions in American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and is president-elect of the American Brachytherapy Society.
Dr. Aaron Alizadeh is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist. He prioritizes seeing his patients as a whole person. “In oncology, this is a field where you join your patient for the journey,” he says. “I try to serve them to the best of my abilities, the way I would serve my loved ones. I make sure I’m listening to them, that their condition is being treated effectively, and, at the same time, ensuring they are achieving the best quality of life they can.”
Dr. Jennifer Butterfield is a board-certified plastic surgeon who provides reconstructive services to the Calaway-Young Cancer Center. A progressive and leading plastic surgeon and has repeatedly been voted “Top Doc” in plastic and reconstructive surgery by her peers (Cincinnati Magazine). As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Butterfield takes great pride in her surgical outcomes and views her work as the "surgical art" of possibilities.
Dr. Lauren Kropp is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Valley View’s Calaway-Young Cancer Center. Dr. Kropp completed her radiation oncology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year of training. When planning radiation treatments, Dr. Kropp strives to focus on utilizing advanced technologies while developing individualized treatment plans in order to reduce the side effects of treatment.
