Valley View is proud to announce it has once again been honored in several categories by the Women’s Choice Award. This is the fourth consecutive year Valley View has been recognized, reflecting Valley View’s commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a wide range of services.
The Women’s Choice Award is a nationally trusted rating organization that helps women (and their families) make informed health care and purchasing decisions. For more than a decade, it has honored top-performing hospitals and health care facilities across the country using a rigorous, data-driven approach.
In 2026, 4,655 hospitals were assessed and only the top 10% in each category received recognition. Importantly, hospitals do not pay to qualify, ensuring the awards remain unbiased and credible.
In 2026, Valley View received six Women’s Choice Awards, placing it among the top hospitals nationwide in the following categories:
- Obstetrics – Top 9%
- Emergency Care (Timely and Effective) – Top 3%
- Heart Care – Top 7%
- Orthopedics – Top 7%
- Minimally Invasive Surgery – Top 10%
- Women’s Services – Top 3% (first-time award)
Valley View also earned strong ratings in key areas of patient experience, including:
- Doctor and nurse communication
- Staff responsiveness
- Communication about medications
- Recovery information
- Cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms
The Women’s Choice Award is the only national recognition program that focuses specifically on the female health care experience. Its goal is to simplify the decision-making process by identifying hospitals that consistently deliver the highest standards of care.
To determine the awards, hospitals are evaluated using four main sources of reliable, publicly available data. These include clinical performance data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which measures outcomes, safety and quality of care; patient satisfaction scores from the HCAHPS survey, which reflect real experiences from patients; accreditation and certification details from respected health care oversight organizations; and comprehensive hospital information from the American Hospital Directory, which provides insights into hospital operations and performance.
