Classic Air Medical, a premier air ambulance transport service, is proud to announce their opening of a new helicopter base at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Operations will begin April 25th with full service 24/7/365. The base will be staffed by a team of three personnel; a highly experienced mountain pilot, a critical care flight medic, and a critical care flight nurse. There is a lot of excitement surrounding Classic’s newest base, as great need has been identified not only for a community based service to assist local agencies in emergency transport to distant tertiary centers and search and rescue operations, but to also be available to bring critically ill and injured patients from surrounding communities to Valley View Hospital. Classic Air Medical also has additional rotor and fixed wing aircraft housed in nearby Steamboat Springs CO, Craig CO, Moab UT and Vernal UT.

Classic Air Medical and Valley View Hospital will be hosting a ribbon cutting on June 14th at 5:00 PM at Sayre Park next to Valley View Hospital, 1906 Blake Ave, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601. Open house from 4:00 – 6:00 PM and light food and drink will be served to celebrate the addition of a new helicopter base in the Glenwood Springs community.
