Valley View Welcomes Neurologist, Jeffrey Siegel, MD

Valley View Welcomes new Neurologist

Valley View is committed to linking expertise, technology and services to provide convenient coordinated care.

Valley View is excited to announce the arrival of General Neurologist Dr. Jeffery Siegel, M.D., to the Roaring Fork Valley. Dr. Siegel will meet the growing need for a highly skilled neurologist in the valley.

As a general neurologist, Dr. Siegel will diagnose and treat conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and migraine headaches. He is keen to integrate therapies other than medications and surgery into his treatment approach when appropriate.

Before coming to Valley View, Dr. Siegel started his own practice in Goldsboro, North Carolina, as a solo physician. He practiced there until 2006, when he was offered a position to join a group. From 2006 until 2008, Dr. Siegel also served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Neurology at Duke University Medical Center and stayed there until he relocated back to Colorado. He joined Banner Neurology Clinic in Greeley, Colorado, and was there from 2008 until 2013. During his last year with the group, Dr. Siegel was the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at North Colorado Medical Center.

Dr. Siegel is board certified by the American Board of Neurology and licensed in Colorado. He received his medical degree from State University of New York, Stony Brook, where he also completed his first year of internship. He then transitioned to University Hospital in Denver where he completed his neurology residency.

“I’ve been practicing for more than 26 years, most recently in Greeley, Colorado. I got to thinking what my dream job would be. All my life I’ve deferred gratification and was ready for a change. I always wanted to be somewhere between Moab and Aspen. Two days into conversation with my family about a potential move west, I received a recruiter call looking for a physician in the town Glenwood Springs. It was love at first sight.”

In conjunction with bringing general neurology to the valley, he has two personal agendas: Help develop palliative and hospice care; and take ownership of a youth concussion program.

Dr. Siegel is now seeing patients as well as accepting appointments at the Valley View Medical office building located at 1830 Blake Avenue Suite 204 and Willits Care Center located at 350 Market Street.
