About Eimile

Eimile Dalton, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Valley View Gastroenterology Center. Her focus includes general gastroenterology, colorectal cancer screening and autoimmune digestive conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease and eosinophilic esophagitis.

Dr. Dalton graduated from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. She earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed her internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she received the Internal Medicine Clinical Wards Teaching Award in 2013. She then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Dalton developed an interest in science and medicine at an early age, inspired by her two grandmothers: one a teacher, the other who was head of nursing at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center during World War II.

In her mind, gastroenterology is both an art and a science. She enjoys the “detective work” it requires — partnering with patients and providers to problem-solve, identify the cause of symptoms and find a path forward for treatment.

“GI issues are something we all deal with in some way, and it can be stressful and confusing for people experiencing symptoms,” Dr. Dalton said. “It’s deeply rewarding to provide clarity and tell patients, ‘We’re going to figure this out together.’ Building that partnership and trust is so important.”

Dr. Dalton is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (CCFA). She has presented at national GI conferences and been published in recognized medical journals.

Born in New York, and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Dalton gradually migrated west throughout her life. Today, she enjoys all the Valley has to offer with her husband and two sons. She is also passionate about exercise and healthy eating and aims to model those healthy habits for her family and patients.
