About Stephen

Stephen Jones, MD brings 30 years of experience building cardiac surgery programs in California, Alaska and Idaho. He attended medical school at Loma Linda University in California. He trained in general surgery in the Army at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, and after stints as a flight surgeon and a general surgeon, trained in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Jones recently retired from the Idaho Air National Guard after serving in the Army and Air Force for 27 years.

He is proud to return to Colorado where he trained, and has interests in atrial fibrillation surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery and off-pump coronary bypass surgery. He enjoys building relationships with his patients that will enhance their well-being and longevity.
