On February 10, 2023, Valley View’s Heart & Vascular Center team performed its 100th open-heart surgery.

In the two years since launching the open-heart surgical program at Valley View, Cardiothoracic Surgeon Stephen Jones, MD and his team have become the regional leader in cardiothoracic care. Offering open-heart surgery locally means patients who would otherwise have to travel far can now receive expert heart care close to home.

With locations in Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction as well as six outreach clinics across Western Colorado, Valley View’s heart and vascular team ensure accessible and high-quality care locally.

Referrals for these services are not required by the Heart & Vascular Center. The cardiovascular team is available for patients 24/7/365 for emergency care. Learn more at vvheartcare.org.
